2020年以来，新冠疫情、极端天气、自然灾害……越来频繁的环境问题给人类社会敲响警钟，使我们常常内心焦虑，担忧在可见的20、30，甚至50年后，我们的孩子们将会面临一个怎样的世界。

然而，难以回避的气候、环境问题令当今的青少年们早早“懂事”起来，更加敏锐、警醒、有远见，并愿意尽自己所能去勇敢面对。用一颗颗纯真而又热诚的心，为保护我们赖以生存的环境而献一份力。当这样的爱心和智慧汇合在一起，谁敢说不会改变未来属于他们的世界呢?

温哥华中学生环保袋图案艺术设计大赛以环境保护为主题，邀请大温地区8-12年级的中学生设计一款环保袋，不限材质和样式，鼓励学生充分发挥自己的想象力、创造力、深度思考和艺术表达的能力。参赛作品将由资深国际知名的艺术家组成的评审团评审，前三名获奖作品将印刷在环保袋上，在大温地区发放，为提升民众环保意识做出实质贡献。

此次大赛由温哥华视觉美术工作室发起，画家刘力源老师谈到本次大赛的初衷时表示，在她多年教学的亲身经验中，发现中学阶段的孩子有着非常敏锐的观察、感受能力，又充满了少年蓬勃的热情、爱心和生命力，对我们的社会，世界有着极大的好奇心和探索欲望，在这个时候给与积极的关注和正确的引导，能够产生奇妙的“化学反应”，挖掘出巨大的创作和表达潜能。另一方面，又因为处于孩童和成年的过渡阶段，这个时期的孩子们也往往心思单纯，经历尚浅，这个世界缺乏认真聆听他们想法的耳朵，和给他们沟通与表达的机会与窗口。实际上当今中学学生的眼界、见识和思考深度早已超越我们的固有认知，和更多在创作中的繁文缛节。

环境问题是当下的热点，更是中学生们愿意和勇于发声的话题。他们是未来世界的主人翁，在这个话题上有着自然而然的关联性和责任感。中学生环保袋设计大赛可以让同学们从理念入手，结合生活实际，设身处地的开动脑筋想办法解决问题，用自己的奇思妙想来链接世界，催生改变。有了年轻人从小自我认知的参与，带着更多正能量走向未来！

当一个灵光乍现的想法被付诸行动，并获得一流专家的认可，最终被印在环保袋上在整个大温地区发放流通时，那个集智慧、爱心于一体的作品就将像一个个微小却明亮的蜡烛，发出温暖又坚定的正能量，给整个社会带来一份希望之光。

Vancouver Eco Bag Art Design Competition

Global Pandemic, nature disaster, social dividing, racist and extremist rising…… No, this is not from a Hollywood screen script, but from our REAL WORLD TODAY, sadly.

Do you believe together we can change the world better for our future generation?

Facing these inevitable and incredible challenges, our young people are waking up. Unlike their adult fellow human being, they can and are willing to face the core problems with a pure heart, great passion, and bold vison.

Aiming at enhancing social environmental awareness, encouraging young people to explore and express their views on the relationship between nature, society and human, Vancouver Eco Bag Art Design Competition provide a public platform to let the young geniuses’minds to shine.

The competition, which is initiated by Vancouver Visual Art Studio, invites middle school students in grades 8-12 in Metro Vancouver (Canada) to design an eco-friendly bag, with no restrictions on materials and styles, and encourage students to give full play to their imagination, creativity, in-depth thinking, and artistic expression abilities. The entries will be judged by a jury composed of veteran internationally renowned artists. The top three winning entries will be printed on eco-friendly bags and distributed in the Greater Vancouver region, making substantial contributions to raising public awareness of environmental protection.

“From over 10 years of experience teaching art, I found that middle school students have very keen observation and feeling abilities, and they are full of youthful enthusiasm, love, and vitality, and have great curiosity and desire to explore our society and the world, change for better. ” The leading artist and teacher of the studio Ms. Liu says, “the society as a whole should pay more active attention to them. With sympathetic listening, correct guidance, it can produce a wonderful ‘social chemical reaction’ and inspire huge creative and expressive potential. After all, the world is theirs in the future.”

Indeed, the world is theirs in the future, a future depending on all of us today. That’s why we call on everyone to participate in this wonderful competition. If you are a parent of teenagers, please encourage your children to express their thoughts freely through our platform; If not, please pass on the message to your friends, your colleagues, your neighbours ……anyone who might be fit for the group, and if you are a middle school student yourself, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? 薛雁群先生，著名人物肖像画家，中国鲁迅美术学院油画教授，国家美展评委。其作品遍及世界各地，在《鉴赏家》、《国际艺术家》、《国际当代大师》、《美术家》等权威刊物专题发表，并多次参加国际知名大拍卖行竞拍，被世界各地美术馆及艺术品收藏家收藏。
